Matthew is a Director in the Nonprofit and Healthcare Practice in the New York Metro Area offices of BDO. After graduating Binghamton University with a bachelor of science in accounting, Matt has dedicated more than 15 years to providing high-quality accounting and consulting services as well as thought leadership to nonprofit and healthcare organizations. Matt's range of nonprofit expertise includes, Human Service Organizations, Membership and Religious Organizations, International Non-Governmental Organizations, Jewish/Israel and Friends of Organizations and various other nonprofits. Matt's experience also includes single audits in accordance with the uniform guidance and specializing in employee benefit plan audits.

Matt speaks frequently on various topics affecting the nonprofit industry including nonprofit financial reporting, best practices in nonprofit governance, and provides technical advice to both boards of directors and finance and audit committees on the implementation of new and existing audit and accounting standards.

Matt is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Nassau County and the Manhattan Alopecia Initiative and Network.
