Gordon is a Senior Principal leading MITRE's government-wide focus on improper payments. His federal career spanned 35 years with various audit organizations, including leading the Offices of Audit at the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration and the U.S. Postal Service OIG, where he concentrated on improving efficiency and effectiveness and combating fraud, waste and abuse. He has an accounting degree from the University of Virginia; is a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Financial Crime Specialist; and received the David M. Walker Excellence in Government Performance and Accountability Award.
