Mark Dixon is the Branch Chief of the Federal Programs Branch within the Economic Reimbursable Surveys Division of the U.S. Census Bureau. His branch is responsible for operating the Federal Audit Clearinghouse (FAC) on behalf of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Mark began his Census career in 2002 after receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from Salisbury State University. He has also received a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. During his tenure at the Census Bureau, Mark worked on the FAC project from 2002-2009. Mark led the FAC redesign effort making the submission of the single audit an all-electronic process. In 2009, he left the FAC to become the Project Manager for the Census Bureau's School District Finance Survey. In late 2014, Mark accepted the position to become the Branch Chief of the Federal Programs Branch, returning to where his career began leading the FAC.
