Melissa Hooley is a Partner at Anton Collins Mitchell LLP: a full-service audit, tax and consulting firm based in Denver, Colorado, with offices in Boulder and Greeley, and Laramie, Wyoming. Melissa’s background includes over 25 years of experience in accounting, auditing, taxation and consulting: specializing in qualified employee benefit plan and welfare plan services. During her career, Melissa has been active in various AICPA committees (AICPA Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee (Former Chair), the AICPA Nominations Committee, and the AICPA Employee Benefits Expert Panel and related sub-task forces) and is also a frequent speaker at national AICPA and State Society conferences. She has been integrally involved in the women’s initiative programs within the firms she has worked and takes pride in mentoring future leaders in the accounting profession. Melissa is passionate about the financial and cultural benefits gained by advancing women to positions of leadership; supporting work/life integration and helping women find their individual path to success within the profession. She was on the inaugural committee bringing the first Women’s to Watch Awards to the state of Colorado. Melissa is a member of the Transplant Leadership Counsel for the American Transplant Foundation, and also volunteers with the Davis Phinney Foundation’s Sunflower Revolution for Parkinson’s Disease Research and the National MS Society.
Melissa received a BS in Accounting from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She holds a CPA license in the State of Colorado, has her CGMA designation, and is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, the AICPA and Western Pension Benefits Conference. Melissa has a daughter thriving in Colorado, who she also fully supports in her own ambitious career path.
